Covid-19: His Excellency President Akuffo-Addo to be the first person in Ghana to receive the vaccine

President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has accepted to be the first person to be vaccinated against Covid-19. The president's decision is to assist with monitoring and encourage Ghanaians to get vaccinated at no cost.

According to Dr. Nsiah Asare, presidential advisor on health, there have been mixed reactions among Ghanaians against the vaccine's intake. This is because of the perceived side effects, which are not familiar to Ghanaians.

The first to be vaccinated would be President Akufo-Addo. This is to ensure that the vaccine is safe for Ghanaians and any other reactions such as fever, dizziness, or pain are all normal with each vaccination,' Dr. Nsiah Asare added.
